Iyengar Yoga For Beginners Course

Monday 7-8:15 pm or Tuesday 9-10:15 am or Tuesday 10:30-11:45 am

  • Explore the nuts and bolts of the poses.

  • Create a solid foundation for continued progress.

  • Clear concise instructions, progressive teaching of the poses.

  • Focus on standing poses, forward bends and introducing the beginner inversions.

  • Build strength, flexibility, poise, and calm.

  • Classes are 75 minutes.

  • Course is 12 weeks. $130 for 12 weeks, (makeup classes can be used if student cannot make one of the classes within the 12 weeks). 

  • Homework for home practice.

Iyengar Yoga - Men's essentials

 Stretch-Inform-Improve

Wednesday 7:30-8:30 pm

  • Just for men.

  • Lengthen those hamstrings, improve your golf game and bike riding, remediate sitting and working over a computer. 

  • Open your hips, shoulders and hands to feel relief in shoulder tension, low back, shoulders, neck and knees.

  • Classes are 60 minutes


Iyengar Yoga - Healing ClassES

Soothe-Repair-Heal

4 week series

Watch for Workshops!

  • 4 week class.

  • Healing Low Back Class - Healing Neck and Shoulder Class - Healing Knee Class.

  • Recuperative and restorative poses for repairing injury and inflammation.  

  • Use of manual adjustments and weights to heal and bring blood supply to injured areas.

  • Home practice tips for helping you stay safe and injury free at home.  

  • Classes are 60 minutes.

  • Students must register.

Iyengar Improvers 

Challenge-Grow-Ignite

Friday 9-10:30 am

  • For all levels of students.

  • Moderately challenging. 

  • Class is led with instructions and short demos. 

  • Poses will be supported as appropriate for understanding and health.

  • Classes are 90 minutes.

  • Modifications are given for injury and illness.

  • You will work safely and intelligently.


Iyengar Yoga - Mixed Level Class

Monday 5:30-6:45 pm/ Wednesday 8:30-10/Saturday 9-10:30 am

  • For all levels of students.

  • An active practice of poses building strength and stamina ending with restorative poses.

  • Class is led with instructions and short demos. 

  • Focus on standing poses, forward extensions, and twist, inversions and abdominal poses.


Iyengar Yoga - GENTLER YOGA

Wednesday 6-7:15 pm

  • No experience necessary.

  • Student must be able to get up and down off the floor.

  • More moderately paced class taught with a gentler approach for those with low energy, poor balance, unusually extreme stiffness or injury.

  • Class is 75 minutes.


IYENGAR YOGA - LEVEL I CLASS

Thursday 6:30-7:30 pm

  • For those who have done the beginner course and/or are experienced in basic Iyengar Yoga poses and shoulderstand. 

  • Refine and explore the subtleties of practice.

  • Introduction of small back bends and inversions.

  • Pranayama introduced.

  • Classes are 60 minutes.


Iyengar Yoga - Level I/II Class*

Inspire-Transform-Challenge

Sunday 2:30-4:30 pm

  • For intermediate students.

  • Take your practice to the next level.

  • Poses and instructions are more complex and fine tuned.

  • Complex back bends and inversions explored.

  • Classes are 120 minutes.

*Students need permission to attend this class. Must be able to hold headstand and shoulder stand.
