Look for the mark. A Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) is held to an unusually rigorous standard. Only after years of training and evaluation are they awarded their certification. Iyengar teachers can trace their "lineage" directly to B.K.S. Iyengar, the founder of the Iyengar style. Teachers modify the classic asanas (poses) for individual students with the use of props such as blocks, blankets, belts and chairs. Lisa Waas is the certified Iyenagr Yoga teacher at this center.

Lisa Waas has been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 2001. With a daily practice and working to overcome her own back issues, Lisa has a firm grasp on the practice of yoga as a healing art. Her primary teacher is Suzie Muchnick of Naples, Florida. She also studies with Jan Campbell in Nashville, Tennessee and Lois Steinberg in Champaign Urbana, Illinois.
Lisa revels in the intelligence of Iyengar Yoga. All classes use the systematic sequencing of poses to build skill, understanding, and capability from posture to posture, from class to class, and beyond. She has a sharp eye and can easily help the beginner gain access to the practice of yoga or move even the most advanced practitioner toward a more challenging practice. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist with credentials from IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists).
Lisa currently serves as the President of the Board for the Iyengar Yoga Association of the Southeast, (IYASE) and was the Continuing Education Chair for two years.
Lisa Mallory's yoga practice began when she was around 8, when her mom was trying to 'create space' in the middle of a family of 4 daughters. Since then, Lisa has sought out yoga classes wherever she can. This has led to her practicing in multiple styles, including Kundalini, Ashtanga, vinyasa and Iyengar yogas. About 10 years ago, Lisa settled on Iyengar yoga as a practice with which to grow. She attended a semester of Iyengar Yoga teacher training classes at Yoga Sol in Del Ray Beach with senior instructor Colleen Gallagher as well as numerous workshops with teachers including Lou Hoyt, Judi Rice, and Carrie Owerko. Lisa is a student of Community Yoga and attends workshops with visiting senior teachers. In the summer months when she is not practicing yoga, Lisa can be found cooking, gardening, and reading at home with her husband Peter and her three sons.

Ruthie began practicing yoga 11 years ago and immediately fell in love. She started studying Sivananda Yoga, and then Anunsara and Ashtanga. For the past five years, she has studied Iyengar Yoga with Lisa Waas. Ruthie has attended workshops with Kathryn Budig, Stacey Milner-Collins, Cindy Olah, and Susan Marcus. In 2014, she received her RYT200. She teaches in a thoughtful align and flow style that is not quite vinyasa and not quite Iyengar, but always fun. When not standing on her head, she can be found spending time with her husband and picking pet hair off her clothes.

Davis has been practicing various forms and styles of Taiji and Quigong for over twenty years with extensive training here in the states and China. He enjoys a daily practice of meditation, breath work, self massage and the numerous energy arts for health and relaxation.
Olivia's journey with yoga began with a fractured foot, benching her from her active life of running and obstacle course racing. She fell in love with the myriad of benefits and now practices daily as a part of her personal health and wellness regime. Olivia has also been engaged in a long-standing battle with chronic and genetic conditions, and attributes yoga, meditation, and a plant-based lifestyle as essential components to healing and wellness maintenance. She loves to help guide others toward these research backed health promotion activities so that everyone can live as free from undesired, negative symptoms as is possible.
Olivia has an extensive background in healthcare including a Master's Degree in Nursing, and several post-degree certifications including Health & Wellness Coaching. She is a 200 hr RYT and leads several types of classes including Vinyasa, Power, Restorative, and Rest/Recovery classes. Olivia truly enjoys teaching yoga, as well as researching and educating others on nutrition, wellness promotion, and chronic illness management. When she's not teaching yoga, Mom'ing, or obsessing over her cats, you're virtually certain to find her in the kitchen.
Karen has been involved in Pilates for the last 20 years and decided in 2011 to move to Atlanta and become a certified Pilates instructor. She studied with both Romona and Stotts studios and decided to work with Stotts. She did her certification and internship through Pilates Tutor, a Stotts certified studio in marietta, GA for two years. Her certifications are in mat, reformer and and prenatal mat. She is certified in beginner, intermediate and advanced in both mat and reformer.

Lynn began seriously practicing yoga almost 20 years ago. She studied mostly in New Jersey taking Yin classes and Kripalu Yoga classes from Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies. She received her 200 hour certificate from Lourdes and is currently working on completing her 500 hour registration. She studied primarily with Nita Spielberg who is also a registered nurse. Lynn is a E-RYT with over 1000 hours of teaching. When her parents became ill, she moved her business and her dog to florida to care for them. She became a teacher here as well, and has been teaching in North Florida for over 4 years. She attends workshops in Florida, both for hours towards her 500 as well as to continue to learn. Lynn is an avid gardener, and has a garden design and maintenance business. When not working, she enjoys the woods with her beloved dog Gypsy.

Eliza has practiced yoga throughout her lide to maintain strength and flexibility. She is a breast canceer survivor and has used the practice for her own health. Her passion is sharing hte healing benefits of yoga through gentle flow and restorative classes. She is a RYT 200 teacher and Christina Phipps Certified Yoga for Cancer Survivor teacher. Eliza teaches the Mindful Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Warrior Yoga classes.
